What is a Flex Outlet Plate?
Flex Outlet Plates are also known as Cable Outlet Sockets. These plates are used when wiring an appliance typically under a unit or worktop where the isolator is located elsewhere. They usually have a hole in the front plate and each plate has 4 terminals on the back that wire via a screw connector. You will also find an earth connection. The flex would be secured using the cable clamp also located on the back.
The connectors are rated to accept a maximum load of 20 amps. Remote isolation or fused protection is required via a Spur Connection Unit or back at the consumer Unit.
We recommend 25mm deep wall boxes for mounting our Flex Outlet Plates.
