What is a Round Pin Switched Socket (For Lighting)?
Round Pin Switched Sockets are usually used on circuits that are dedicated to particularly unusual appliances that might exceed 13 amps. The reason round pins are used is that it stops you from plugging a regular 13amp plug into the circuit and stops the risk of circuit overload.
We recommend 25mm deep wall boxes for mounting our sockets or 35mm deep wall boxes for shallow or flat plate Sockets.
