What is a RJ45 Network Socket?
RJ45 Network Sockets are also known as Computer Points or Ethernet Sockets. These sockets are used when wiring a computer network in your home or office. You can wire any number of these sockets using CaT5 Computer Cables. These sockets incorporate an eight wire connector used commonly to connect computers onto a local-area network (LAN) especially Ethernets. RJ45 Network Sockets connectors look similar to the RJ11 connectors used for connecting telephone equipment but they are somewhat wider.
Each socket has 8 terminals on the back that wire via a push IDC terminal for which you will use the IDC tool provided. They are available in single or double versions by request.
We recommend 25mm deep wall boxes for mounting our RJ45 Network Sockets.
